NEW Zoo Winter Hours
Beginning Saturday, November 1st, daily hours for the winter season at the NEW Zoo will be from 9 AM-4 PM. Winter operational hours will remain in effect through March 31, 2009.

Zoo Boo Special Hours Reminder
As a reminder, this Friday (10/24) and this Saturday (10/25) the NEW Zoo will close to the public at 2:30pm to prepare for Zoo Boo.
Curator Report: Lion Cub Update
Masamba and Mandisa are approaching their 3rd month of life and are becoming much more independent. Previously, the Animal Hospital had provided the perfect spot for visitors to get a good look at the cubs.

The New Zoo is excited to embark on their 16th year of providing a safe Halloween trick or treat alternative for the children of Brown County and surrounding areas by hosting Zoo Boo. This event offers the chance for visitors from all of Northeastern Wisconsin to enjoy their Zoo in a family-related, celebratory way. Equally as important, Zoo Boo the zoo’s largest fundraiser of the year.
Curator Report: New Lion Cubs
Etana’s little cubs are strong, healthy and growing fast! The cubs (one boy and one girl) are being bottle raised and seem very well adjusted and happy. They first began play wrestling with each other on their 2 week birthday. Distinct personalities are starting to emerge and the little girl is reminding us more of her mother every day.
The Feast is Fast Approaching
The N.E.W. Zoological Society along with the Wisconsin Restaurant Association is pleased to bring this annual safari of culinary delights to the NEW Zoo. The event will feature over 30 booths representing restaurants, catering services, and food and beverage distributors.
Jack Hanna Returns!
The N.E.W. Zoological Society, Inc. partnered with the Weidner Center Presents, Inc. will bring the Jungle Jack Hanna Show to the Weidner Center on Saturday, September 20th, 2008.

Wild Wednesdays!
On Wild Wednesdays the NEW Zoo will be open until 8:00 p.m. through August 27. In June, July and August, admission is FREE the last four hours on Wild Wednesdays!

We're Not "Lion"
The NEW Zoo is excited to announce that a lion and lioness (costumed representatives of the Zoo, of course!) will be in attendance at the Brown County Tavern League’s annual dinner to accept a generous check from the Tavern League on behalf of the NEW Zoological Society.
The dinner will be held on Monday, February 19th at 7:00pm at the Swan Club, 875 Heritage Rd., DePere, WI.
